Summer Part 1

Okay, wow it's been awhile! This was supposed to be posted in July, I uploaded the pics and never wrote anything or posted.... so this is what you get! It's been a crazy summer, I have lots to post about, and lots of cute pics coming soon (hopefully)!

Brooklynn's 3rd Birthday

Brooklynn had her 3rd Birthday on April 26 

(I know, very delayed blogging :)

She was so excited to be 3. Three year olds get to sleep in their beds all night and they gets treats if they don't come into Mommy and Daddy's bed! They get to help out with dishes and cooking and even fold laundry! Maybe it was Mommy that was most excited for 3! Brooklynn is acting so much more grown up since she turned three, it's like a light switch turned on or something. She is so helpful and polite and rarely needs discipline, she is even sleeping in her own bed all night long! she is such a good little three year old!

Her birthday gift from Mommy, Daddy and Logan! The slide has been a big hit!

We ate at Brooklynn's favorite restaurant, RED ROBIN!

The Red Robin was even there and everyone sang to her!

She got her very own  ice cream treat!

And she shared!

Brooklynn absolutely loves cooking and baking with Mom!

We made mini cupcakes for her birthday and she got to lick everything!

She invited some friends over for a party!

We had a treasure hunt and planted flowers....

Then sang Happy Birthday and ate cupcakes....

Opened presents and now she's ready for another birthday!

I on the other hand don't mind waiting until next year!

Easter and other randomness

Easter weekend was spent in Washington with Papa Rick! All the 4 grandkids had so much fun dying eggs and playing with their Easter loot! Logan figured out how to open Sixlets and couldn't get enough of them!

They had way more eggs to find than necessary!

But they had oh so much fun!

Apparently the Easter bunny spoils! Brooklynn wore this ensemble for the next few days!

The Stair Climber

He thinks he's pretty funny... notice the cheesy grin :)

A few weeks ago Logan conquered the stairs. He goes up and down and has only fallen once so far! He likes to sneak away from us and when we go to get him on the stairs he goes into hyper-drive and bolts up as fast as he can. I have to make sure the doors are closed upstairs or he plays in the bathroom, empties the drawers, unrolls the TP and he knows how to open the toilet lid (that's as far as I'll go with that). He is getting to be quite busy, I'm glad that he hasn't figured out walking yet!

This is in Newberg, Oregon back in the day of the disposable cameras! I was wasting the last few pics before taking the camera into Rite Aid. I was probably 15 or 16 and my little Bro Zac was about 7. We we're goofing off and having fun. I'm still not sure why I scanned and put this picture on the computer.

Snow Day

There's only been a few days here in Rexburg when the snow was good enough to make a snowman and it was warm enough to play in the snow. We took advantage of the slightly warmer weather and fresh snow to have some fun!!! Although it was still snowing, we didn't mind!

Brooklynn and Daddy gave Logan a sled ride, he absolutely loves the sled and will sit in it for a long time!

The kids finally got to use their snowman kit. It turned out looking pretty good!

Brooklynn named him 'Mr. Snowman'.

Happy 1st Birthday Logan

Logan had his First Birthday on the 15th of January (I just found our USB cord for our camera yesterday, we haven't had it since before our move:) We just had a few friends over for lunch and had cake and ice cream! Logan thoroughly enjoyed his cake! 

I never thought about spiking his hair until he did it with blue frosting! Looks cool!

Logan finally got to play with his new toy! Brooklynn hogged it for quite a while when he first got it.

Here are a few Logan stats:

Weighs 20 lbs, 28 3/4 inches tall 

(apparently he's in proportion but in the 16th percentile for weight and height, and I thought he was big)

Is finally standing up to furniture and just figured out how to climb the stairs

Likes to turn the TV off

Loves playing in the play kitchen

Is off of bottles

Only wakes up once a night

Enjoys torturing his big sister

Wins at screaming contests with Brooklynn

Favorite food is Squash: Acorn, Spaghetti, Butternut, Banana (He can't get enough of it)

There isn't any food that he doesn't like yet, he eats anything and everything

Lately everything turns into a phone

He say "Hi", "Mama", "Dada", "Ball", oh and once he said "Cheese" when holding the camera up to his face!

He loves being tickled and flipped around!

Can kiss with his mouth closed until he gets to your face and then it's wide open!

He is obsessed with opening and closing doors

Has 8 teeth and I think some more are trying to come through due to his attitude and finger chewing!

He's mostly a Happy, Fun, Content boy who is getting busier and busier every day. 

He loves playing and fighting with his sister. And he's definitely a Mommy's boy, I get lots of kisses and loves! It's been a fun first year with him. We love watching him learn and grow everyday! We love you Logi-Bears!!!

Super Post!

This is a Super Post! Only because it's been one eventful month with a lot of lack of blogging :) During our move we lost the USB cord to upload the photos from our camera to the computer. Our new camera we got decided not to charge so we returned it and we're using our old one, the one that has a scratched lens and takes horrible indoor photos! Okay so enough excuses already... enjoy these pics from the last month!!!

Spokane got over 5 feet of snow in December alone, and even more in January. We had fun shoveling it several times a day while on vacation and it just kept on snowing. It was way fun to play in! Brooklynn just couldn't get enough of it, she would be outside for a few hours, gloves soaked through, face frozen and would still scream and cry when it was time to come in because she wanted to keep on playing in the snow!

Papa Randy spoiled Logan with cookies!

Every time Brooklynn put the Santa hat on she had to say "HO, HO, HO"!

We all buried each other in the snow bank, even Brooklynn joined in!

And this is before our trip, we got creative and designed and painted these name thinks for the kids rooms. Brooklynn was a lot of help, she loves painting.

I think they turned out pretty cute, they are really big though.

We also took a quick trip to Salt Lake and Brooklynn fell asleep watching and listening to her movie. Gone are the days of counting power poles and fence posts :)

We visited Aunt Martha and her family and got to have lunch with Cousin Shannon and her baby Riley, it was way fun to catch up!

It's been a great month with lots of traveling and visiting! Time to get back to real life... Patrick started school and has a full schedule. Logan is finally starting to stand up to furniture, yay! Brooklynn is still learning the meaning of 'be quiet' and both kids are stuggling with sharing. I'm just trying to keep up with the laundry (we all got the stomach flu a week ago, except for Logan, thank goodness), the dishes need to learn how to do themselves and the blog is finally updated!!! Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years!
