Brooklynn at her finest!
She's a princess in disguise! She loves going outside and playing in the dirt... and eating it as she goes! Apparently, it's "nummy"! I open the back door and she will stay out there for a very long time, it amazes me. She likes to play under the deck, with the spiders i'm sure. She has no trouble entertaining herself. She is going to have an awesome summer, we're going to put up the pool she got for her birthday and i'm going to sit under the gazeebo and read (something that I have missed lately) while she plays and plays and plays!
Cloth Diaper update...
Using cloth is way easier than I expected! It surprises me that not that many people use them anymore. Logan really seems to like them, although they do give him a really big bum.

He actually probably wouldn't care what I put him in, he's a pretty easy going baby! I figure I save around $1.25 a day on diapers. My other method of 'Going Green' is by using organic cleaners. Believe it or not they are half the price of chemical based cleaners and so far the only thing that got the dirt out of the dips in the linol on my kitchen floor. So now I feel like I'm doing my part in saving the planted. I don't know, maybe recycling would be easier!

Cloth Diapers... am I crazy?!
Maybe I am. But since I don't recycle and currently use disposable diapers, I feel like I contribute a lot to the landfill problems of today. So my way of 'Going Green' is to try out cloth diapers. I researched cloth diapering in and out before I had Brooklynn, never took the plunge due to the enormous upfront expense of cloth diapers. The other day I came across a woman selling 40 for only $70, again I did my research and thought i'd finally take the plunge. I did, 40 really cute diapers later and i'm actually excited!!! You wonder how anyone could be excited about using cloth diapers, but when your life revolves around kids and well, diapers, why not?! So everyone here I go, wish me luck...

Brooklynn's 2nd Birthday
Brooklynn turned 2 on Saturday the 26th of April. I spent forever making a fondant covered cake for her, it turned out so cute, I can't say much about the taste though. I probably won't be making to many more fondant cakes in my lifetime...
She had a great birthday! We went to Lethbridge to Grandma and Papa McNabb's house for a party. Brooklynn loved her balloons and is sad that they already died :( Her cousin's, aka 'The Boys', gave her a bubble blowing dog. She loves it, Grandma even had a gallon of bubbles on hand to refill it! Patrick really enjoyed it too...
The bubble blowing dog was a hit with Phoenix too. The other day Brooklynn was using the bubble dog and she started crying, I ran outside to see her chasing Phoenix with a stick yelling at him as he was running from her with the bubble dog in his mouth! She was so angry with him. She also got a Mermaid towel and a Pool, that isn't quite in service yet, a cute skirt and shirt that she was so excited to wear to church and a Tricycle that she's still trying to conquer! We can't believe our little girl is already 2 years old. She has been so much fun and brings many laughs to our family! Two weeks ago Brooklynn learned to use the potty, she wears "Big Girl Panties" and gets "Potty Treats". We're so excited and so is she! As I write this, Logan is falling asleep in my lap. He likes his sleep, so much that he knows when its bedtime and will sleep from 8:30pm until 7:30am. Of course he wakes to eat! He's
learning to chew on toys and his hands. He tends to gag on his fingers as he tries to fit his hand in his mouth! He's such a happy baby...
