Our Day in Waterton

We had a fun filled day in Waterton. It started with a big accident but once that was taken care of it went great! It was the nicest day that I've ever been to Waterton. No wind and it was nice and warm, okay maybe a little on the Hot side! You would think the water was refreshing, nope definitely not. If you've ever been to Waterton you would know how dang Cold the water is.

Despite the Freezing Cold water, there was no deterring Brooklynn and Phoenix, Brooklynn just kept going deeper. We had to have her come closer to shore because there was no way we we're running into the cold water to save her, it was numbing.

Brooklynn's favorite thing was "Play Park" (thanks Dora). Never-mind the Scorching hot metal slides.

Ribbit, Ribbit, she was pretending to be a frog :)

And here's Logan, he loves his Umbrella Stroller, and we love that he loves it.
He also loved the swing, we got lots of laughs out of him, he doesn't mind going high either!

We had to make our usual stop at "The Big Scoop" for the best ice-cream ever.
Only Brooklynn eats ice-cream with a spoon from her cone, the odd child!

Brooklynn admired a butterfly for a long time.
She wouldn't stop chasing the deer on the far right, she didn't understand that it could hurt her.

Higher Daddy, Higher!
I love the mountains in the background in the pic below, gorgeous! Oh, and Brooklynn is pretty cute too!

It's Logan, still as content as can be, I just love his flappy hat!
Phoenix was begging for more swimming!

Our visit to Washington...

We had a fun trip, we got to visit everyone, attend a wedding (Brooklynn still talks about 'Princess Chelsi'), surprise Grandpa Rick a his 50th birthday party, go hiking, ride horses, go to the Aquatic Park in  Moses Lake and lots more fun stuff. Here are some of the moments captured, there will be more to follow!
A thrilling ride with Grandpa Randy on Duke!

Logan just chillin'

Daddy had just as much fun a Brooklynn. Brooklynn went down this slide over and over and over and over...

Hope was tired, by all means she must have a blanket and a pillow. After Hope was covered, Brooklynn laid down next to her!

Fun Grandma Mary

A tired girl, twirling her hair and sucking her thumb. A classic pose!

Brooklynn and her fun Uncle Zac

A long hike through the tall grass, good thing she had her hiking stick!

We we're surprised we could fit 3 car seats in the back of Jessica's car!

Lets just say that Logan wasn't so sure about the cold water:)

Patrick mowed and mowed and mowed until our lawn mower broke

Brook and Logan Played in their new jogger stroller, it still needs the tires pumped before they get to test it out though!

Logan discovered his toes

Brooklynn played in the water and learned to drink from the hose

She also ate a chicken bone, the strange child

Logan sucked bananas through his mesh food holder thing

Brooklynn read Cinderella to Logan before bed

It was a very Fun week. Especially since the weather is finally beautiful!

Brooklynn at her finest!

She's a princess in disguise! She loves going outside and playing in the dirt... and eating it as she goes! Apparently, it's "nummy"! I open the back door and she will stay out there for a very long time, it amazes me. She likes to play under the deck, with the spiders i'm sure. She has no trouble entertaining herself. She is going to have an awesome summer, we're going to put up the pool she got for her birthday and i'm going to sit under the gazeebo and read (something that I have missed lately) while she plays and plays and plays!

Cloth Diaper update...

Using cloth is way easier than I expected! It surprises me that not that many people use them anymore. Logan really seems to like them, although they do give him a really big bum.

He actually probably wouldn't care what I put him in, he's a pretty easy going baby! I figure I save around $1.25 a day on diapers. My other method of 'Going Green' is by using organic cleaners. Believe it or not they are half the price of chemical based cleaners and so far the only thing that got the dirt out of the dips in the linol on my kitchen floor. So now I feel like I'm doing my part in saving the planted. I don't know, maybe recycling would be easier!

Cloth Diapers... am I crazy?!

Maybe I am. But since I don't recycle and currently use disposable diapers, I feel like I contribute a lot to the landfill problems of today. So my way of 'Going Green'  is to try out cloth diapers. I researched cloth diapering in and out before I had Brooklynn, never took the plunge due to the enormous upfront expense of cloth diapers. The other day I came across a woman selling 40 for only $70, again I did my research and thought i'd finally take the plunge. I did, 40 really cute diapers later and i'm actually excited!!! You wonder how anyone could be excited about using cloth diapers, but when your life revolves around kids and well, diapers, why not?! So everyone here I go, wish me luck...
